Learning Kits can be a great aid in the early years of a child, but unfortunately, very few are available in vernacular Bengali. In our rural nursery school, we have designed our workaround for this problem. We have created our own Learning Kit, crafted in Bengali language and contextualized with images that have local relevance. Now our kids can connect with the kits more easily and learning becomes fun. We are also trying our best to break the barriers of language when it comes to education, especially in rural India. There is a big requirement to integrate “interactive learning“ in local contexts. Artist Sudip Maiti, helped us generously with his time and effort to re-create these beautiful “Learning Kits” for our own use.
