The vision behind Olonkar Artisanal Range of food products is to revive the lost tradition of hand made GohonaBori, Pickles and Preserves, and many other such products (in future) while spurring entrepreneurship amongst the younger generation of women in the village and its surrounding areas. Our vision is to retain the authentic taste and feel of such products using 100% traditional production techniques. Using process innovation to enable scale-up and smarter packaging design to pique urban consumer curiosity, the foundation team hopes to someday deliver the magic of artisanal products from the Purba Medinipur district and other areas of Bengal across borders.
